Your Healing Journey
Hey!
I realise that not everyone who visits my website is going to book an appointment with me and that’s okay. Maybe you’ve decided this isn’t quite what you’re looking for, or perhaps the timing isn’t right. But before you go, there’s a few things I’d like to share with you.
If you ever feel ready to try RTT, go for it—you’ll be amazed by the results! But if it’s not the right path for you, remember there are many ways to heal, grow, and explore. Our journeys are all unique, and healing can take time, so be gentle with yourself. Honour where you’re at and remember: the way you treat yourself sets the standard of how others treat you too. So treat yourself like a princess! (Men included!)
Trying something new often brings up a lot of resistance in the mind, which may give you countless reasons not to try it. But don’t let this stop you! It’s your gut that you need to listen to. Healing happens in many ways and through many practices—find what resonates with you.
Healing Approaches You Might Explore:
Here are just a few healing and wellness practices to consider. Some, I haven’t personally tried but they’re highly recommended by others. Remember, not every doctor, therapist, or instructor is a fit for everyone; always choose who and what feels right for you. Research, read reviews, and if anything makes you uncomfortable, then stop.
Trying something "alternative" may feel strange at first, but by the third session, you might just love it!
Traditional and Therapeutic Approaches: Psychology, Psychiatry, Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neurofeedback, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
Alternative Wellness: Life Coaching, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture.
Mind-Body Practices: Breathwork, Reiki, Sound Healing, Mindfulness, Meditation, Sharing Circles, Energy Healing, Womb Healing, Ayurveda, Massage, Health Retreats.
Movement & Physical Activity: Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga, Acro Yoga, Boxing, Personal Training, Ecstatic Dance, and any form of dancing!
Creative Expression: Learning an instrument (like drums, guitar, piano), watching live music, Art Therapy, Visualization, Vision Boards, and Affirmations.
You will find short courses online for just about anything that interests you!
“But Gemma, doesn’t this all cost money?”
Yes, many of these activities and therapies require an investment, particularly options like Naturopathy and Neurofeedback. So, do your research, find what resonates, and, if you commit, commit fully! As the saying goes, “Pay now, or you’ll pay later.”
Good luck, and never give up on your path to feeling great! 😊
